Chiropractic Manipulation

Chiropractic manipulation is an adjustment that aims to unlock, restore and enhance full joint function and to reduce pain. When full function is restored to the joints by means of the adjustment manipulation, your body is able to use its own healing ability–relieving muscle tension, reducing nerve irritation and setting the basis for smooth and controlled movement.

Dry Needling

Myofascial dry needling is a western modality developed in the 1940’s by Janet Travell, MD. It has no relation to the eastern practice of acupuncture. It is a used technique in the management of conditions such as fibromyalgia, acute or chronic trigger point pain due to bad posture or fatigue, back pain, headache and sports related injury. Dry needling aims to relieve pain, increase a wide range of motion and encourage the release of muscle spasms.

Instrument Assisted soft tissue mobilization / Myofascial work

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a new range of tools which aid in efficiently locating and treating individuals diagnosed with soft tissue dysfunction. IASTM is performed with ergonomically designed instruments that detect and treat fascial restrictions, encourage rapid localization and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis, chronic inflammation or degeneration.

Online Consults

We have setup a system for Telehealth consults.

What you can expect from the consult:

  • The session will be facilitated via a safe encrypted audiovisual application.

  • A detailed History taking which in the vast majority of cases gives us a detailed idea of what might be causing the problem and to rule out any suspected red flags.

  • An active physical exam which will be directed by the doctor and modified using specific testing to ascertain what structures are involved.

  • A prescribed dose-specific and individual exercises to help desensitize the area and to get the patient out of pain and moving freely.

  • Clear instruction to patients on how to use props that they might have lying around at home (golf ball/squash ball/ foam roller/tennis balls/bands) to help release tight tissue and allow for pain-free movement.
